First Alarm Package

Standard Operating Procedures Review/Maintenance
  • Review and update all mandatory and suggested policies set forth by the Maine Department of Labor, the NFPA, and other applicable policies specific to the target department
  • Assist departments in uploading, assigning, and implementing new and updated policies within their departments
  • Develop lessons plans for all mandatory training topics
  • Conduct mandatory training for departments
  • All policies, lessons plans, trainings, etc. will be given to the department for current and future use
  • Dirigo has a library of over 230 fire department policies broken down into four major categories:
    • Administrative Policies
    • Operations Policies
    • Organizational Planning and Preparedness
    • Equipment Inspections and Record Keeping

Second Alarm Package

Standard Operating Procedures Review/Maintenance
& Annual Mandatory Training
  • Everything in the first Alarm Package plus the following. 
  • Dirigo has the ability to develop and implement mandatory training for the following:
    • Emergency Action Plan for Facility (initial)
    • Hazardous Materials based on level of response (initial & annual refresher)
    • Hazard Communications (initial)
    • Blood Borne Pathogens (initial & annual refresher)
    • Use of Fire Extinguishers (initial & annual refresher)
    • Personal Protective Equipment (initial on employer’s written PPE assessment)
    • Respiratory Protection* (initial & annual refresher)
    • Confined Space* (initial & annual refresher)
    • Emergency Scene Traffic Control for fire/EMS (initial)
    • Driver training for fire apparatus operators* (initial)
    • Other training commensurate with duties the employee is expected to perform (initial & annual refresher as determined by the department)
