Officers will learn to identify potential drug couriers\, conduct effective roadside interviews\, and apply key interdiction techniques in real-world scenarios. The course also addresses constitutional limitations\, safety considerations\, and the strategic use of canines in interdiction efforts. Through classroom instruction and practical exercises\, officers will gain the confidence and skillset necessary to carry out interdiction operations safely and successfully. \nCourse Objectives: \n\nIdentify behavioral and situational indicators of potential drug couriers.\nApply constitutional principles to ensure lawful stops\, searches\, and seizures.\nUtilize patrol interview techniques to establish rapport and gather intelligence.\nRecognize and avoid common legal and procedural pitfalls in interdiction work.\nConduct interdiction stops with officer safety as a top priority.\n\nEquipment Needed: \n\nNone
