Critical Incident Management

This course is designed to provide responders with a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of critical incidents, from initial response through long-term resolution. It offers essential information and resources that help agencies and responders prepare for, manage, and recover from critical incidents effectively. By the end of the training, participants will be better equipped to support themselves, their peers, and their departments during high-stress events.

Course Objectives:

• Define what constitutes a critical incident in a law enforcement context.
• Identify the key phases and potential outcomes during and after.
• Recognize the psychological and operational impact on responders and departments.
• Understand the legal protections available.
• Identify the resources, services, and support systems available post-incident.
