Invitation to the Maine Chiefs of Police Association MLEAP Meeting
Dear Assessors, Program Directors, Agency Administrators, Law Enforcement Leaders, and Accreditation Professionals,
The Maine Chiefs of Police Association (MCOPA) and the Maine Law Enforcement Accreditation Program (MLEAP) invite you to attend an upcoming stakeholder meeting focused on the continued development and improvement of the MLEAP program.
This meeting will provide an opportunity to discuss the program’s strengths, identify areas for improvement, and gather valuable feedback from those who work directly with MLEAP. Your input is essential as we continue to strengthen accreditation services and support law enforcement agencies across Maine.
In addition to MLEAP stakeholders, we welcome representatives from other state, regional, and national law enforcement accreditation programs. This meeting will provide an opportunity to network with accreditation professionals, exchange ideas, share best practices, and discuss common challenges and innovative solutions for advancing professional standards within law enforcement agencies.
We also encourage attendance by individuals who are interested in learning more about MLEAP and exploring opportunities to become Program Managers or Assessors. Whether you are new to accreditation or looking to expand your professional involvement, this meeting offers valuable insight into the accreditation process, program administration, and assessment responsibilities.
This event is designed not only to improve the MLEAP program but also to foster professional growth and development within Maine’s law enforcement community. Participants will have the opportunity to build relationships with experienced accreditation professionals, learn from their peers, develop new skills, and explore pathways to greater involvement in accreditation and organizational excellence.
