Anne Jordan

Law Enforcement Policy Development & Adjunct Instructor

Anne is an attorney with over 40 years of experience.  She has served as an assistant and then deputy district attorney in York County, an attorney in private practice, a court administrator and a college instructor at USM, SMCC, and currently at UMA.  Currently, Anne serves as the Executive Director of the Independent Commission to Investigate the Facts of the Lewiston Tragedy.

Leveraging her skills and expertise to make a difference beyond her professional role, Anne dedicates numerous hours to volunteer work. She recently concluded her term as the President of the National Criminal Justice Association, a nonpartisan organization that unites police, prosecutors, defense attorneys, correctional professionals, and others in the criminal justice sector to promote evidence-based policies aimed at improving public safety. Additionally, she serves as the Vice President of the Maine Children’s Trust and participates in her community’s Comprehensive Plan Committee.
