Dr. Dennis Magliozzi is a veteran high school English educator, researcher, and nationally recognized consultant on the ethical and effective integration of generative AI in education. Dennis brings nearly two decades of classroom experience, along with a deep commitment to advancing equity, literacy, and innovation across diverse learning communities.
With co-worker, Kristina Peterson, they’ve done pioneering work on the impact of AI on writing instruction is shaping the national conversation. Their book, AI in the Writing Workshop: Finding the Write Balance (April 2025), explores the nuanced role of AI as a thought partner, research companion, and writing tool—emphasizing both the opportunities and ethical implications AI presents in modern instruction.
Dennis holds an MFA in Poetry from Vermont College of Fine Arts and a Ph.D. in Education from the University of New Hampshire. He co-supervises teachers through UNH’s LTT program and co-developed the Arts in Action program, which won the 2023 New Hampshire Governor’s Arts Education Award.
Whether working with educators, attorneys, or law enforcement agencies, Dennis brings research-based strategies, hands-on experience, and an engaging approach to help professionals understand, adapt to, and responsibly implement AI technologies in their work.
