Instructional Goal:
Understanding the programs and services offered to inmate populations will help corrections professionals match the specific needs of the inmate to the services available. Corrections professionals will have a general understanding of the broad scope of services and programs generally available to the incarcerated community.
Performance Objectives:
After this unit of instruction, the student will be able to:
- Define the role of staff in the delivery of programs and services.
- Describe Evidence Based Practice and Cognitive Behavioral Programming
- List at least two examples of institutional services
- List at least two examples of institutional programs
