Field Training Officer School

About

This class will provide you with the tools and knowledge to properly train a new officer. From ethics to leadership, our FTO class covers the topics needed to both train and evaluate a field trainee. 

The objectives of this course include:

  • Creating a standardized program
  • Role of an FTO
  • Ethics and it’s liabilities
  • Leadership traits, relationships & conduct
  • Effective teaching methods for different learning styles
  • Setting expectations and completing evaluations of the trainee
  • Example Daily Observation Reports (DOR) and Weekly Observation Reports (WOR)
  • Training Scenario’s for application of class objectives
