Law Enforcement Policy Development

Law Enforcement Policy Development

Dirigo Safety offers expert policy development services for law enforcement agencies.

At Dirigo Safety, LLC, our team of highly qualified law enforcement executives and attorneys brings extensive experience in crafting policies that meet the needs of today’s criminal justice agencies. Our policies are meticulously designed to comply with accreditation standards, Department of Labor requirements, and other professional benchmarks, allowing law enforcement executives more time to focus on the many operational demands of their agencies.
We understand that each law enforcement agency is unique and has distinct needs. Unlike others, we don’t produce generic, boilerplate policies and leave the implementation to the agency. Instead, we collaborate closely with your designated personnel to customize and onboard policies to your satisfaction.
Our dedicated “Policy Review Team” continuously reviews and updates policies. Every policy crafted at Dirigo Safety is reviewed annually by current experts, and updates are communicated in real-time to all our policy customers.
Moreover, our policy development services are competitively priced, ensuring you receive the best value for your investment.
Choose Dirigo Safety, LLC for policy development services that are tailored, compliant, and continuously updated to meet the evolving needs of your agency. Contact us today to learn more about how we can support your organization.

Our SOP and Policy Development Process

Why Choose Our SOP & Policy Development Services?

At Dirigo Safety, LLC, our policy development process is thorough and comprehensive. We review and update all mandatory policies set forth by the applicable Academy, as well as a selection of non-mandatory and workplace compliance policies. Our policies are meticulously designed to incorporate the standards required for accreditation, making the process straightforward.
Throughout the course of our contract, we continuously monitor for any new or updated policies from the Academy, legislature, or best practices, and update our policies accordingly. Our extensive library currently consists of over 100 policies and is regularly monitored to address the evolving needs of law enforcement agencies.
All completed policies are provided on PowerDMS or in Microsoft Word format, allowing customers to easily review and update them as needed. Dirigo Safety also provides ongoing support and policy consultation to ensure that the policies are effective and meet the department’s needs. Once released to the department, we will amend the policies as necessary for approval from the Chief Law Enforcement Officer during the length of the contract.

Why Choose Dirigo Safety?

There are many options available for assistance, but there are several great reasons to choose Dirigo Safety, especially for law enforcement agencies in New England.

We are a truly Maine-based firm with staff from Maine and New Hampshire. This provides significant benefits as there is first-hand experience with exactly the same challenges as your officers face on a daily basis. Often the focus of programs based in other regions of the country is focused on issues that are substantially different from what makes sense in New England.

All our instructors have practical experience in the fields in which they provide instruction. We aren’t repeating by rote information learned in our own training days, we’re passing along our real-world experience and offering practical advice that makes sense.

With all our instructors being physically proximate to our training location, there are opportunities to network and coordinate with other officers around Maine, New Hampshire, and New England.

Oftentimes, what one agency needs isn’t the same as others. We have the knowledge, staff, and capabilities to customize training and consultations that no one else has, which the department specifically needs. We can be your one call that handles it all.

We strive to give excellent customer service. We understand that time is precious and you have many tasks to accomplish. Our quick response allows you to get answers and move on to other items.
