This comprehensive course is designed to equip law enforcement professionals with the tools and techniques to build the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into daily operations. Participants will gain a thorough understanding of AI’s historical context, current applications, and potential in both supporting report writing practices and ways to streamline time management. Participants will leave with templates to prompt generative AI and engage in hands-on experiences using police training videos and live police reporting. Join us to explore the transformative potential of AI in law enforcement, ensuring that officers are well-prepared to serve and protect their communities in the modern, tech-driven world.

**Students should bring a laptop and report with them for hands on practical’s.

Instructor Bio’s:

Kristina Peterson and Dr. Dennis Magliozzi have been teaching at Exeter High School since 2008. Kristina holds a master’s degree in teaching and has over a decade of experience mentoring teachers. Dennis has an MFA in poetry and a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction. Together, they’ve consulted for SAU16, UNH, and Heinemann about AI. Their pioneering work on the impact of generative AI on writing instruction is part of an influential three-part blog series, upcoming podcast, and forthcoming book, tentatively titled Finding the Write Balance which is currently slated for a spring 2025 release. Their expertise and innovative approaches make them leading voices in the discussion on the intersection of AI and writing instruction.
