Auburn, ME – We are pleased to announce the addition of our newest team member, former Maine Assistant Attorney General Donald w. Macomber. At Dirigo Safety LLC, we are committed to providing our customers with the best possible training and legal knowledge of law enforcement relevant topics. Attorney Macomber provides tremendous professional expertise and experience to help us achieve that goal.
A graduate of the University of Southern Maine and University of Maine School of Law, Don joined the Criminal Division of the Maine Office of the Attorney General in 1989 and retired in 2024. His primary focus was appellate litigation in homicide prosecutions and argued 168 times in the Maine Law Court. He was inducted as a fellow of the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers at the United States Supreme Court in 2015. He taught Search & Seizure and Admissions and Confessions at the Maine Criminal Justice Academy for over 30 years. He is a frequent presenter to the Maine Prosecutors Association and to the Maine State Bar Association.
